Severn Partnership has now completed the Foundation Course for Commercial Drone operations (FCCDO). Allowing the company to professionally undertake drone surveys around the country. This course gives our team, a Permissions for Commercial Operations (PfCO), awarded by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), the UK’s Aviation regulator.
These qualifications enable the company to offer another specialised consulting service alongside what we already offer.

The drone can be used for projects from small tricky to reach sites, to large areas such as flood planes for flood risk mapping. UAV data can also add value to our mobile mapping service, providing infill data which can be merged with the point cloud data collected from a mobile platform. This provides a complete data set and takes away the ‘Boots on the ground’ in inaccessible areas where safety is an issue.
By adding this service to our other services including Mobile Mapping & Ground Penetrating radar (GPR) we can now offer a complete survey solution.
