The idea of a ‘lean’ is to maximize customer value while minimizing waste. For Severn Partnership, waste is time and resource while value comes from creating surveys that hit directly our customer’s needs. This is a constant journey for us and covers every part of the organisation, from equipment choices to software workflows and reporting of management information. Our systems are always evolving to aid communication between teams, speed up data capture or hone down on the quality of end deliverables.

Producing a well crafted survey is a real team effort. From making sure our surveyors are not just trained and equipped, but advised by experts in the needs of each sector and Directors who have walked the miles in their shoes. Expert safety support is on hand to steer each project in the right direction and feedback at all levels helps to spot opportunities to improve our company culture. As a break from work challenges, the team also aims to play hard with Coast to Coast walks, Three Peaks, Dragonboat races, Go Carting, Axe throwing, Achery or our annual Christmas Quiz.
