The beginning of April saw Severn Partnership hold its latest Safety Stand Down Day, an interactive event with team members benefitting from sessions supplying the most up-to-date safety advice and guidance.

We asked all staff members to stand down from their day job as part of our commitment to health, safety and employee wellbeing, and take part in a day designed to allow everyone the chance to discuss any concerns relating to safety.

The day was a great success, with the team taking away a thorough understanding of the industry’s latest procedures and protocols.

Alongside company Directors and Project Managers speaking on specific themes relating to both site works and office, we were pleased to be joined by Bekki Fardoe from Hope House Children’s Hospices, who provided us with an update on the charity’s recent news and future fundraising events.

In an increasingly virtual environment, it was important for us to then spend some quality time together in the afternoon. The team headed off to Shrewsbury Football Ground to take part in Combat Archery and Zorb Football.

Splitting ourselves into smaller teams, they were the perfect activities to allow individuals to encourage and support each other in a new environment.

We’re already looking forward to the next!
